In my practice, I employ the medium of screen printing to explore the tensions between rigor and chaos, order and disorder.
The screen-printing process itself embodies this duality, demanding a meticulous adherence to technique while simultaneously allowing for the spontaneous eruption of unpredictable textures, bleeds, and happy accidents. Through a rigorous layering of personal imagery, text fragments, and hand-designed elements, I construct intricate works that challenge linear narratives and fixed meanings. These compositions are carefully orchestrated yet open to chance occurrences, mirroring the fragmented, decentered nature of our contemporary experience. My work exists in a liminal space between control and relinquishment of control, echoing the postmodern skepticism towards grand narratives and absolute truths. The screen acts as a threshold between intention and serendipity, allowing for the seamless integration of disparate visual languages – merging the vernacular with the academic, the popular with the esoteric.

Ultimately, my work revels in the paradoxes that define a postmodern era – the coexistence of multiple truths, the interplay of chaos and control, the constant negotiation between the real and the hyperreal. Through the tactile, laborious process of screen printing, I seek to give material form to these intangible complexities, inviting viewers to navigate the liminal spaces between rigor and chaos.
